Whidbey Island is the premiere island in Puget Sound, stretching about 50 miles in length. Centrally located in Puget Sound, it is within easy driving distance to Seattle, Bellingham and Port Angeles Washington. Also within an afternoon driving distance are Vancouver and Victoria in British Columbia, Canada.
Whidbey Island is easily accessible by car or RV. You can enter from the north via the picturesque Deception Pass Bridge on State Route 20, and via Washington State Ferry System, west from Port Townsend (State Route 20), or east from Everett to Clinton, on the Clinton Ferry (State Route 526). If you enter the City of Oak Harbor from the North, you will go through the intersection of SR 20 and Midway Avenue. Continue south and take the next right turn, on NE 7th Avenue. At Oak Harbor Street, turn right again, and go.78 miles to Gun Club Road. Turn left, and the NWSA gate is a the end of the road.

If entering into Oak Harbor from the south, on SR 20, turn left on Whidbey Avenue, then turn right at the next light, Oak Harbor Street. Follow that for 1.15 miles to Gun Club Road. Turn left, and the NWSA gate is a the end of the road.
