1. Trout season opened on area lakes not open year round. Opening day participation
appeared to be very light as of 6:45 a.m. On 25 April there were a combined 14m boats
on Heart Lake and Lake Erie. Fish plants for three lakes
a. Heart Lake – 6,840
b. Lake Erie – 11,160
c. Cranberry Lake – 8,844
2. Lingcod seadon is now open until 15 June. Bad fishing tides for the first weekend will
make fishing tough.
3. Don’t forget to get your hunting licenses and special draw permits. Midnight, May 20th is
the deadline to apply for special hunts.
