How to Join NWSA

How to become an NWSA member:

  1. Come to a meeting. Meetings are held the second Wednesday of the month at 7 pm. You can download the application, Background Check form and Waiver here on the website.
  2. At the meeting, fill out an application, NWSA Waiver, and the Release Authorization for a Background Check. These can be downloaded online from our website so you can fill them out in advance. At this time you will need to pay the fee for the Background Check, currently $40.00 (but subject to change). All members are required to undergo a background check, including those that already have a Concealed Carry Permit.
  3. During the next few weeks, your Background check will be submitted, and the results reviewed by the Membership Committee.
  4. You should plan on attending the Orientation class. It will be the first Saturday morning of the month, unless you are contacted otherwise.
  5. Attend the Orientation class. Sign the NWSA Rules and Waiver form. Failure to go through this class and sign the Rules and Waiver will prevent you from becoming a member.
  6. As part of this orientation, your photo will be taken as the preliminary step to issuing you a Photo ID for NWSA.
  7. Attend the next meeting after your Orientation class. At that meeting you will be sworn in. Bring your membership dues to be paid at that meeting, currently $100.  All members are requested to perform 12 hours service to the club during their membership year.  When renewing, you will be able to submit your service hours to prevent the $100 surcharge at renewal.
  8. Once you’ve paid, you will be given your membership card which will give you access through the main gate.
