June Basic Pistol Class scheduled
The NRA class of Basic Pistol Shooting has been scheduled. Signups are open at https://www.nrainstructors.org/CourseDetails.aspx?Courseid=925571
There will be a July Class and an August class.as well!
NWSA Outdoor report for June 2026
1. Lingcod and halibut seasons remain open. The last day for lingcod is 15 June and halibut 30 June.
2. Spot shrimp seasons have been severely restricted in recent years with only openings of a few days scattered through June and July. Fishers who can get out are doing well.
3. WIth spot shrimp closed in area 8.1, east of Whidbey Island, the coonstripe season has started early and opened on 1 June. Similar equipment is used but it can be done in much shallower water. Consider adding it to a day crabbing when that season opens.
